Snow Day

Home Again

I took some time off the Project 365 thing and I'm glad I did but I took a lot less photos generally. Plus I got a NEW CAMERA for Christmas. Woo Hoo! So I'm back on the wagon. And I think I'm pretty motivated so hopefully I will keep it up all year long!

Obviously I haven't been uploading pictures here. After doing the 365 project for all of 2008 I was in such a habit of taking pictures that I was literally afraid to stop...so I kept going. But I found that my pictures were not very meaningful to me as 2009 was going on. So I stopped. It was a little hard at first but now I am glad. I needed the break.

But I am considering starting back up again and, with that, my 365 days with start over at day 1.

I'll keep you posted.

I'm thinking of having Mother's Day be my new Day 1. Maybe.

Day 62- March 3, 2009- Gifts

Boxes came today with Branden's birthday presents. I always love getting boxes in the mail. I guess it's the child in me. :-) It just feels like Christmas to get a box in the mail...even when I am the one paying for the boxes now!

Day 61- March 2, 2009-Snow Day

We've gotten enough snow this year. Enough.
But Carter and I went out and enjoyed it anyway. We even did some sledding. It was a little too fluffy to get going very far but we ended up having a great time.

I love strawberries. I wanted a good macro shot. I had the wrong lens. I didn't take the time to get a good shot. I got home and saw the bruise. That's all it takes to ruin the beautiful strawberry for me. Too bad. They were delicious though.

Kim liked the circles I did in Carter's room and wanted to do them in her basement rec room. She is getting mixed reactions from her family. We have chosen the "ignore the family" option.

I couldn't choose between these two. It's a problem I sometimes run into with this project...choosing on photo.

But they each have something cool about them. The first one has these fun snowflakes on top that shine and show up better than the rest. I don't know why. Perhaps they are wetter? But it looks awesome.

In the second photo I captured a single snowflake there in the top left that is just beautiful.

So I can't choose.

I just put the last quarter into the state quarter collection. It is done. I've been in charge of getting the "P" quarters for all of Frank's family for the duration of the making of these special state quarters. It's been hard to remember at times, especially after we moved and my bank here doesn't get the quarters on a regular basis. But I managed it and now the collection is complete!

I did project 365 last year. And I'm pretty happy with how it went...I missed a couple of days but I'm ok with that. I got sloppy around September, burned out I guess, and my pictures really show it!
But I gained a habit. A photo a day.

And I can't stop.

I want to do it again. Maybe I can do it without missing any days. Maybe not.

Maybe I can do it without getting lazy. We'll see.

Either way, I'm going to do it again. Here we go, one more time!
